Summary A documentary about two first-generation migrant parents' struggle to accept their son's sexuality. It is about Ted, a gay man in his 40s who is reunited with his traditional, Macedonian family, after 15 years' estrangement. His father, Alexo, who is suffering from terminal lung cancer, has decided to forgive Ted, but not accept his lifestyle. Alexo is torn between his love for his son and his old fashioned principles; and refuses to meet his son's long-term partner, Anthony. Meanwhile, Ted works at rebuilding his relationship with his father; and both he and Anthony are forgiving and determined to move forward. Ted feels that as he lives in a country where he is free to express his sexuality, he cannot pretend to be something else. If he had been born and grown up in Macedonia, he would now be married with a family, according to Macedonian cultural expectations, but against his natural instincts
