Returning the stolen -- Weather wars -- Pupply love |
Summary |
Imagine being told your parents are not your real parents. Even worse, the people who raised you had in fact helped to kidnap, torture and murder your real mum and dad. It's the truth facing as many as 500 people born during the late 1970s in Argentina, when the country’s military dictatorship detained and killed thousands of political opponents. After their parents 'disappeared', the children were given away to supporters of the dictatorship to raise as their own. Video journalist David O’Shea has been to meet a group of determined grandmothers leading the fight to reunite those children with what's left of their families, and he hears the stories of some of the 101 stolen babies reunited so far |

What should we do to tackle climate change? An unexpected group of people say 'nothing', because the whole thing is a scam. They're a vocal group of TV weather presenters in the United States, where a survey reveals only 54% of the forecasters actually believe global warming is real. It's making for a stormy debate between the presenters and climate scientists, with the millions who rely on TV weather forecasts stuck in the middle |

When soldiers return home from war zones like Iraq, it's not just the physical scars that take time to heal. Many are traumatised and suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It can ruin their lives, and those of their families, but in the United States, help is coming from an unlikely source… man's best friend. Video journalist Aaron Lewis has been to meet some of the people being helped back to a normal life by East Coast Assistance Dogs, whose animals provide not only physical help, but also an important emotional bond. The scheme’s success has even led to the US Congress funding a pilot program to provide service dogs to disabled veterans |
