Summary In this six-part documentary series, four artists learn what their craft is really worth as they journey from Athens to Edinburgh, surviving purely on their raw talents. Two cellists, an opera singer and an award-winning portrait painter are dropped in the Greek capital with no money or credit cards and a 40-day deadline to make their way across Europe in time for an appearance at the Edinburgh Festival. Split into two teams, the competing pairs have only their artistic skills to survive on. The team who has earned the most money through the trip will be rewarded with a 10,000 pound prize. Both teams arrive on Italy's Amalfi Coast. After a gruelling 12-hour overland journey, classical cellist Li Lu and soprano Lindsey Crow are in Positano, ready to perform for wealthy Italian holiday makers with deep pockets.Having already blown their previous earnings, contemporary cellist Janie Price and painter Johan Andersson head to the luxury island of Capri with a meagre sum of seven euros between them. The team are full of confidence, but soon hit a hurdle; street art and busking are illegal here.
