Advanced Keyword search results have been improved with RightResult display.
This is intended to help bring the best results to the very top and to subdivide the remaining results based on relevance.
Results will appear in up to 5 groups depending on search results: for example, see the search results for the keyword search 'passive cooling'
Most relevant titles is the absolutely most relevant; the very small number of titles where the primary title contains the search as a phrase.
For example: 'passive cooling' appears as a phrase in the first part of the title, before the colon : .
Highly relevant titles is the rest of the cream, "Best Bets" if you will. The items in it are weighted more heavily because of where and how the terms appear in the record.
For example: 'passive cooling' appears as a phrase in the second part of the title, after the colon : .
Very relevant titles is more things you would have found doing an adjacency search, but those deemed less relevant than the first group.
For example, either of the words 'passive' and 'cooling' appear in the first part of the title.
Relevant titles broadens out farther and begins to pull in some AND results, but still contains items weighted more heavily because of where and how the terms appear in the record.
For example, either of the words 'passive' and 'cooling appear in the second part of the title.
Other relevant titles brings in the remaining results matching the search.
For example, the phrase 'passive cooling' or either of the words appear somewhere in the record.
Within each grouping, titles are ordered by date.
If no results are found in these groups, the catalogue will fall back to an OR search, for example 'passive or cooling'.
