You may use subject to search for topics and the names of people, places, and events. If you are searching for material about a person, type their family name first.

For example: Ali, Muhammad

SUBJECT terms come from the Library of Congress in Washington, and use American terminology.  Often the catalogue will lead you from the Australian to the American heading:

Perioperative Nursing is not used in this library's catalog.

Operating room nursing is used instead.

SEARCH for Operating room nursing

If you cannot find what you want using your subject terms, try them in a Keyword search.  To specifically search for subject terms, prefix your search with 's:'.

For example:
s:cockatoos will find all subject terms featuring the word cockatoos.
