Summary |
Based on the short story by celebrated Russian novelist Anton Chekov, About Love begins with a chance meeting between Kairat--an introverted scientist--and his old school friend Askar at a local shop. After becoming reacquainted with one another, Askar invites Kairat to his home to meet his family. There, Kairat meets his friend's beautiful wife Togjan. As the years after meeting Askar and his family pass, Kairat and Togjan develop a deep love for one another. However, as they both discover, it is a love that can never go beyond their own private feelings. From the Jeonju International Film Festival |
