Summary |
"Asperger's Syndrome is a poorly understood condition, especially in a school setting. In 2007 however the Sutherland Shire Council introduced an Access Arts program called Courage is a Telescope. This excellent documentary captures the many aspects of this program, designed by teachers and therapists to uncover the unique qualities, experiences and limitations of kids with Apserger's Syndrome. The program explores the unique qualities of Asperger's syndrome, facilitates social interaction through special interests, expresses sensory overload and communicates thinking processes through mask work. An enlightening and empowering look at this challenging condition, and the inspiring teaching work that is achieving positive results." - cover |
