Ustad Asad Ali Khan was the biggest Master of Rudra veena, instrument of the Northern Indian classical music. Its practicemight disappear after his death on the 14th of June 2011. This musician was the last one to have dedicated his life to this instrument. In this portrait, the artist makes us discover his musical tradition, his links with the court of Rampur, his everyday life in New Dehli where he lived with his foster son, Zaki Haider. He shows us the difficulties inherent to the practice of this ancient instrument and invites us to private concerts |
