Vol. 2 explores Kent Weeks' discovery in 1987 of tomb KV5, the largest tomb in the Valley of the Kings and resting place of the children of Ramesses II. Vol. 3 examines the daily life of the common people and looks at the results of fieldwork at Mendes and Deir El Medina. Addresses topics such as diet, sanitation, and the role of women in ancient Egypt. Vol. 4 investigates the ancient Egyptians' views on death and the afterlife, as well as the rituals and rites, such as mummification, associated with burials |
