Inhalation of foreign bodies (FB) in pediatric age group is a common problem. Children present in emergency and pose a life threating scenario in certain situations when airway is blocked. The commonly inhaled objects include vegetative FB's like peanuts, fruit seeds. Several types of metallic and plastic toy parts are also seen. The presented video shows various methods of extraction of these foreign bodies via endoscopic bronchoscopy. The methodology is shown in multiple cases and shows extraction using optical forceps, fogarty balloon catheter, dormia basket etc. The presented technique will help the surgeon to salvage a life threatening scenario.The video is aimed at Pediatric endoscopic and General surgeons with pediatric practice.
