|
Summary |
Successful development and evolution of the Defence Information Environment requires the organisation to develop an architectural culture in its Information Technology (IT) practice and future organistion development. In such a culture, the organisation must achieve an integrated architecture capabilityfor high-level knowledge creation, management and reuse within its improved IT development capability. This report discusses the main issues facing the organisation in developing such an integrated architecture capability, and proposes employing architecture practice concepts at the level above individual architecture development. High-level management and integration solutions associated with architecture practice, and responsibilities of relevant parties are also discussed in the report to help reach a shared understanding of the practice required by the ADO. The report aims to provide a basis or context for the Architecture Review Board to plan and organise the architecture practice and to produce more detailed guidelines |
