Summary INSIDE THE MIRACLEWhile the world's eyes were on the 69 day rescue of 33 miners in Chile, video journalist David O'Shea was capturing life 'behind the scenes' in the mini city that grew around the mine.Hundreds of family members, media people, miners and officials made a makeshift home in the desolate winter of the Atacama Desert, and played out a bizarre reality TV show.David captures the joy and community spirit at Camp Hope after the miners were found alive, and the desperation and divisions over mine safety and legal action for compensation. There's also the huge media relations exercise by officials to feed the hungry interest from around the world, in what become a public relations success for Chile, but could have ended so differently.MUDDY HELLA dozen villages have been swallowed up by a volcano of mud in Indonesia, but four years on from the start of the eruption, the dispute over what's causing it bubbles on.Some experts say a drilling accident at a nearby gas site has caused gas to constantly push mud to the surface from a depth of 3,000 metres, but the energy giant Lapindo Brantas blames an earthquake. The company was cleared of responsibility by Indonesia's Supreme Court last year, but was still ordered to pay compensation. People in East Java though say they've seen little help.Video journalist Adrian Brown visits the vast lake of mud, which can even be seen from space, to hear the blame game that's left villagers living in makeshift huts and an ecological disaster that seems to be growing bigger by the day.SBS 30TH ANNIVERSARYIt's 30 years since SBS TV first went on air, and Dateline is helping to mark the occasion with a look back at some of the groundbreaking international stories we've brought to the screen over the years. Our journalists have been shot at, kidnapped, arrested, threatened, gassed, bombed and bashed in the course of delivering highly-acclaimed reports that have accumulated dozens of awards, including 16 Walkleys. We've also pioneered video journalism, allowing our reporters to get involved in stories in a way that no full camera crew can. The result is a powerful, human perspective on the world and Australia's place in it
