Summary |
In this the fourth episode of Country House Rescue Revisits Ruth is back at Pentillie Castle in Cornwall, with owners Ted and Sarah Coryton. They inherited it in September 2007, along with a #6 million inheritance tax bill. The family were in two minds over keeping the house and contemplated selling it. But it wasn't long before they fell in love with its unique charms. The family had to find a means by which the house could pay for itself, in order to keep it afloat.Which is when Ruth Watson came into the picture: she encouraged the Corytons to open the house and gardens to the public and compared it with 'The Lost Gardens of Heligan'. With its beautiful riverside setting, she felt Pentillie could easily become one of the country's finest wedding venues. As Pentillie isn't the Coryton's family home, they had full opportunity to let the house for B&B and exclusive hire.Find out what the Corytons have done since Ruth's visit - have they followed her advice and renovated the inside of the castle?PRODUCTION DETAILS:Country House Rescue Revisits is a Betty Production for Channel 4 |
