Summary |
"German filmmaker, Konstantin Faigle's documentary analyses what he considers to be a collective German psychological and sociological depression. Konstantin Faigle, who won the Bavarian Documentary Award at the Munich Film Festival in 2001 for his debut film Out Of Edeka, asks what makes Germans so German. Is this German melancholy biological? Is there a depressive gene? Or are there other explanations? He travels the country, returns to his hometown and interviews experts in medicine and psychology. Faigle takes viewers on a personal journey through contemporary Germany, presenting an analysis of himself, his country and his countrymen.
