The Book Club is back for 2013 and coming from the Perth Writers Festival. Host Jennifer Byrne and regulars Marieke Hardy and Jason Steger are joined on the panel by China Mieville and Shamini Flint.The two books being reviewed are Wool by Hugh Howie and Gilgamesh by Joan London.Wool takes place in a post-apocalyptic ruined Earth where humanity clings to survival by living underground in massive silos. He is three-time winner of the prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Award for science fiction and has also won the British Fantasy Award twice. Shamini Flint is a highly successful children's author based in Singapore. She writes children's books with cultural and environmental themes which are mainly focused on Asia |
