His wife Melinda spent all her money fighting for eight years to prove that police had the wrong man.This gripping story of justice gone wrong, looks into the role of luck in the criminal justice system. In order for Clarence Elkins to prove his innocence, all of the stars had to align - and they did. It's a story that would be unbelievable if it wasn't true.Having won the 2007 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival Award for Best Short Documentary, the story follows the work of University of Cincinnati College of Law Professor Mark Godsey and the law school's Ohio Innocence Project.The project investigates cases where inmates have steadfastly maintained their innocence from beginning to end, using new evidence to shed light on their case.
