Summary |
This straightforward family melodrama was filmed while Solax was still located in Flushing, New York. FALLING LEAVES echoes aspects of O. Henry's 1907 short story 'The Last Leaf' and depicts the clever attempts of a concerned young girl trying to save her older sister who is dying of consumption |
|
Trixie Thompson believes the only way she can save her sister from dying of tuberculosis is by preventing the autumn leaves from falling, so one night she steals into the garden and fastens the fallen leaves with twine and hangs them up on the trees. She keeps her vigil against the falling leaves until her sister's health is restored |
