Summary *Adult Themes and Coarse Language*With the UK in the midst of its worst recession in decades, homelessness is expected to rise dramatically. Home Is Where The Heart Is follows a radical scheme which looks to offer a solution to one of Britain's most stubborn social problems.Four celebrity households including Brit-pop legend Alex James, presenter Anneka Rice, popular chef Aldo Zilli and interior designers Colin and Justin agree to open their doors to some of the most vulnerable members of British society. All have volunteered to take part in a unique mentoring scheme by inviting a homeless person into their own homes and off the streets to live with them for two weeks. The homeless who take part in the series include Jim Gilraine, who's slept rough for almost two decades; teenage runaway Danny Newton; ex-soldier Bobby Blunden; and 23-year-old Bridgette Harvey. As two very different worlds come together, can celebrities - who will be guided by expert advice in the shape of Ed Tytherleigh, director of SPEAR, one of Britian's most innovative homeless charities - really change lives? With just seven days left before the homeless guests leave and return to the real world, the celebrity mentors are under pressure to help them find better lives. Colin and Justin offer alcoholic and rough sleeper, Jim, a radical solution to confront his dependency on drink; Anneka and Aldo have to delve deep into their homeless guests' traumatic pasts to allow them to help resolve their futures, and Alex looks beyond his regime of 'tough love' to aid Danny. Can they find a solution? Or will the celebrities' guests end up back where they came from...a life of homelessness?PRODUCTION DETAILS:Love productions
