Summary |
In this UK series, four facially disfigured people take on a group of beauty addicts and challenge their perspective on life. Spending two weeks learning about each other's life, together they go on a journey to figure out what's more important; how a person looks on the outside or what's on the inside.In episode three, 43-year-old travel agent and beauty addict Amanda Hughes, meets 46-year-old civil servant Debbie Hanson. Amanda exercises for two hours a day seven days a week and spends eight hours getting ready for a Saturday night. Debbie was born with a congenital facial disfigurement that left her blind in one eye and severely short-sighted in the other. In the first week single mum Amanda shows Debbie her beauty regime and the lengths she goes to in order to slow down the aging process, spending over 20,000 pounds on perfecting her look.
