Summary In the second episode, John's son Adam gives a lesson in how to snare small crocodiles using rope and a pole - a difficult task, as the crocodile can only be captured once it has exhausted itself at the end of a rope. Used to being in control, former police officer Tony comes up against a particularly defiant little crocodile that tests his forcefulness.John then ups the ante, and instructs the students to catch a three-year-old crocodile with rope and a pole. The women succeed, but the men are too slow; their croc takes off and has to be recaptured. The following morning, Ryan, Tony and Lyn are left to their own devices to build a trap to catch a crocodile in the wild. John calls for volunteers to set the trap, and the men step forward. John takes them up a nearby creek in a tinny to search for an ideal site. They set the trap, but struggle to get the boat out of the mud once the tide has gone out.Later, back at the farm, Lyn finally decides to tell John her secret. He is astounded by her courage, and her motivation for doing the course. They both agree she should not receive any special treatment, and that it will not influence his decision about who goes to Kakadu.Meanwhile, an uninvited guest turns up at the farm - a small, friendly dog who seems to have little idea how attractive he could be to the crocs. Charmed by the dog, John names him 'Snack', and hopes to keep him if his owner cannot be found.PRODUCTION DETAILS:6 x 30 minutes. Narrated by John Jarratt.
