Summary |
This epic film retells an episode of Taiwanese history not known to many. Between 1895 and 1945, Taiwan was a Japanese colony, but small groups of the original indigenous tribes remained scattered around the island. In 1930 Mouna Rudo, the leader of the Seediq tribe, settled around Mount Chilai, forged a coalition with other Seediq tribal leaders and plotted a rebellion against their Japanese colonial masters. Their battle would be initially successful, but how could they match the Japanese military aircraft and poison gas? |
