Summary |
"Chow Mo-wan, regretting his failed love for a married woman in Hong Kong in the early 1960s, tries to relive it with another woman of the same name, Su Lizhen in Singapore. She gently turns him down and he returns to Hong Kong to live a debauched life. During the four Christmases from 1966 to 1969, he tries to link up with a friend who is murdered in her hotel room. He then falls for the daughter of the owner of the hotel he stays in, but she already has a Japanese boyfriend. He meets Bai Ling, a goodtime girl from China who loves him, but he does not want to maintain a love relationship with her. Directed by, and stars Tong Leung, and Gong Li.
