Summary An objective of early intervention is to empower parents of children with disabilities. This research involved two interviews with 37 families of children with disabilities in order to ascertain their perspectives of empowerment. The finding suggest that information, other families, decision-making, confidence, participation, and meeting family needs influence parents' empowerment
