"Dr Wilhelmsen is a specialist doctor in internal medicine, gastroenterology and psychiatry and treats hypochondriacs at his clinic in Bergen, Norway. We meet the patients at home and take part in their daily routines which are filled with fear of life-threatening diseases. Imaginary diseases can be devastating for both the patients and their family. Dr Wilhelmsen's method is to engage in a philosophical discussion regarding the way we relate to life and death. His goal is to reduce the fear of disease and dying to a normal level in his patients, by giving the patients homework and a deeper insight in their own problems."--SBS website |
