Summary As Iranian President Ahmadinejad causes outrage at the UN General Assembly, a Dateline special from New York looks at the international reaction. Despite the jailing of Russian punk band Pussy Riot, Dateline finds anti-Putin protesters are continuing undeterred and take a revealing roadtrip through Zimbabwe with a woman determined to bring peace and reconciliation to her country. MR CONTROVERSIALThere's been no holding back by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over the past week... he used the UN General Assembly in New York to air his controversial views on subjects from the holocaust to homosexuality, and Syria to Israel. On Tuesday, Yalda Hakim hosts a special edition of Dateline from New York looking at the firestorm of international outrage it's unleashed. She's on the streets for rowdy protests against his regime, and she hears from the city's Jewish community, who ask how he's allowed to enter the United States at all. And when Ahmadinejad speaks at the summit, US and Israeli delegates walk out... both countries delivering a severe warning to Iran over its nuclear plans. But what do the Iranians make of the hostility? Yalda puts the question to the country's Foreign Minister in a special Dateline interview.PUNKED!Feminist punk band Pussy Riot made headlines around the world when they protested against President Putin's rule at Russia's holiest cathedral. Now facing two years in prison for hooliganism, their lawyers believe the sentence was approved by Putin himself. On Tuesday's program, Evan Williams reports from Moscow on the growing wave of discontent against the President and the government's attempts to silence it. Undeterred by the fate of Pussy Riot, protesters speak to Evan openly about their calls for change and the persecution they say they've suffered as a result. After the protests earlier this year over Putin's re-election as President, is Russia heading for another winter of discontent?SEKAI'S JOURNEYAs Zimbabwe gradually recovers from its violent past, there are concerns the forthcoming elections could reopen old divisions. But one woman is determined to stop that happening... Sekai Holland is a Minister for Healing and Reconciliation and has just been awarded the Sydney Peace Prize. On Tuesday's program, Yaara Bou Melhem joins her on a revealing roadtrip through Zimbabwe as she tries to heal the country's physical and emotional wounds. Her MDC party was once the target of violence from the rival Zanu PF party, and she was badly tortured and nearly killed. Now the parties share power in a unity government led by Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai, but can the marriage last? And can the tortured country ever be truly healed?
