Summary |
It's hard not to go overboard when you try to describe Fairfax journalist, Kate McClymont. She's like a one woman investigative machine. It's true she does have some terrific journalists working with her and some great material to work with, but it seems she's been the strongest solo voice exposing political corruption in New South Wales. In addition she's dogged, meticulous and damned funny.Big Ideas have recorded her before when she's paired up with colleagues, like David Marr and Mike Carlton, to regale audiences with some breath taking tales of political corruption, bribery, arrogance and stupidity. She tells a great yarn. So it's absolutely spot on that she be chosen to deliver this year's Andrew Olle Media Lecture, Olle would have been highly amused by her daring and her tenacity. She presents this address at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney |
