Summary |
The French Train: The Djibouti-Addis Ababa railway is the oldest train in Sub-Saharan Africa. But the neglect of its French founders and builders means that it struggles to stay on the tracks, and it's efficiency has declined appreciably. Here we visit the drivers, staff and passengers on this creaking old railroad and learn how important it is to everyone along its route. The Dugout World of White Cliffs: The opal-mining town of White Cliffs in outback NSW, where most of the town's small population lives underground, and prospectors are still hoping to strike it rich.
