This book tells the story of the 1998 race, one of the deadliest years of one of the most demanding sailing competitions in the world. With winds gusts over 100 mph and 80-foot waves, six sailors perished and another 55 were saved in what became one of the largest search and rescue operations in Australian history. Perkins uses this race to explain how teamwork, cooperation, planning and execution were employed to survive and how these same strategies and tactics can be employed for workplace success |
