Summary In this six half-hour series and over 3,500 kilometres, Catalyst on the Road propels our curious trio - Anja Taylor, Dr Derek Muller and Simon Pampena - on an interactive road trip across Australia. Along the way they uncover science in some unexpected locations. This week: Who would have thought chucking watermelons off a 45 metre tower could be called science? Dr Derek Muller and the team bring Galileo's gravity theory to life for the students of Malvern High School at Gingin before Anja Taylor and Simon Pampena hit the road in a battle of the electric cars. Will Simon triumph in his flashy electric Lotus sports car or will Anja go the extra mile in her modest converted sedan? Meanwhile Derek catches up with rocket-speed car inventor, Rosco McGlashan for a sneak peek at the world's fastest car before joining his colleagues for some sheep wrangling on the Future Farm. Have you ever wondered how much methane a sheep actually produces? Stay tuned as our reporters help them do their bit for science by getting the flock to burp into a bubble.PRODUCTION DETAILS:Series Producer: Matt Scully
