Summary The objective of this e-book was to generate systematic literature reviews in the field of logistics and supply chain management. As Meredith (1993, p. 8) states, systematic literature reviews are responsible for ""integrating a number of different works on the same topic, summarizing the common elements, contrasting the differences, and extending the work in some fashion."" Through robust and structured methodologies (Denyer and Tranfield, 2009; Rousseau et al., 2008; Smithey, 2012) our ulterior motive was to set an agenda for future research on important SCM and logistics topics.
