Summary |
Highlighting the theoretical and methodological advances in the field of cultural neuroscience, this text also looks at the role that these scientific advances can play in understanding how to close the gap in population mental health disparities. Population mental health disparities may arise due to unequal access to healthcare as well as due to the interaction of cultural, biological, and environmental factors that produce inequalities in mental health outcomes. In this edited volume, contributors provide overviews of the current state of knowledge about how and why population health disparities exist as well as the role that a cultural neuroscience approach to the understanding of the mind, brain, and behavior can play in closing the gap in population health disparities |
