This volume offers a selection of papers presented at the Third Research in Psychotherapy Conference (1966). Major themes of this conference included: (a) the behavior therapies, (b) studies of interaction between therapist and client or patient, and (c) in what we then cautiously called "psychopharmacology"--A euphemism for the complex of work centering around the sensitive subject of LSD. These themes became the major sections of this book. The reader who is about to enter the Conference will find the collection wide ranging, not only between sections but within.
