Summary |
Operation Crossbow is a heroic but little known story from World War Two. While Hitler was developing his new V rockets, the scientists from RAF Medmenham had a secret weapon of their own: a simple stereoscope which brought to life every contour of the enemy landscape in perfect 3D. This film brings together the Spitfire pilots who took the photographs and the experts who made sense of the clues hidden within them. Modern computer graphics show just how the photo interpreters were able to thwart the Nazis' weapons before they could obliterate Britain. (From the UK) (Documentary) PG CC |
