Summary |
Scottish psychiatrist R.D. Laing gained a reputation in the late sixties for his radical objection to conventional psychiatry. He generated controversy with his willingness to try psychedelic drugs, meditation and other unorthodox techniques in search of a healing common ground between patient and doctor. Now in his early sixties he is shown in public lectures, workshops and private conversations discussing the art of therapy, politics of psychiatry and fundamental issues of loving, living, suffering and healing |
