Summary |
An insight into the work of British sculptor and painter, William 'Bill' Turnbull. Now approaching 90, his work, both powerful and primordial, is comparable with that of his contemporaries and friends, Giacometti and Rothko, coming from an era where he and his contemporaries changed the course of twentieth century art. The program includes interviews with Peter Blake and Antony Gormley, while Tim Marlow, Matthew Collings and Nicholas Serota look at Turnbull's works and his place in art history.
