1 online resource (45 minutes) |
Summary |
Ben is in rural Morocco, near the Atlas Mountains staying with Dina Zughyar and Mostafa Jabbour, who shunned the American dream to live a simple life in a mud house. The couple met online in 2012 and married a week after meeting. They lived in Kentucky before leaving everything behind. Ben meets them at a breaking point, they have no money left and the land they do have is not enough to sustain themselves. Ben plays a part in improving their chances of staying. He ploughs the dry land with donkeys and embraces the local souk so they can sell and buy essentials |
