Summary |
"We go behind the scenes of last year's interview with the 2007 Young Australian of the Year, Tania Major. Also, we look at stories about childhood, all of them from Aboriginal Australians - people you know well - Deborah Mailman, Troy Cassar-Daley, Nova Peris, Stephen Page and Leah Purcell. Although only 26 years old, Tania has been held up as one of the brightest hopes of her generation by everyone from Noel Pearson to former Prime Minister John Howard. That's a lot of pressure on one so young. Tonight ENOUGH ROPE looks at the Aboriginal story through the eyes of these famous Australians, who are all living with the ramifications of things that took place before they were even born. Though their upbringings were very different, we've been struck by how, over the last five years, each of these guests has been linked by a shared sense of longing and of pain.
