Summary An exciting series that strips families of their comforts and transforms them into cultural explorers. With no electricity, plumbing or phones, this is a journey that will turn their worlds upside down. Each episode features a different American family who travel to a different destination: Ghana, Mongolia, Morocco and Namibia, and for about ten days live with an indigenous family, participating in their customs, rituals and livelihood. Worlds Apart creators sought to fulfil a cultural exchange instead of a culture shock. American families are paired with host families from each location with the aim of establishing a mutual life-long bond
