Summary The department has recently completed an assessment of the character and significance of landscapes throughout the south west of Victoria. This region has a wide range of landscape types and features from the volcanic plains and cones that dominate much of the area, to the Great Dividing Range in the north, and the Grampians in the west. This study provides a unique insight and detailed description of landscape values and their contribution to the economic social and environmental significance of the region. -- DPCD website
