Final report -- Executive summary |
Summary |
This report summarises a national evaluation of training and support programs which aim to facilitate the participation of people with a disability in quality assurance and quality improvement activities in Commonwealth funded disability employment and advocacy services. It makes recommendations about the future purposes, activities and structure for the Consumer Training and Support Program (the Program) in the context of the development of a new quality assurance framework for disability services. The key finding from the evaluation is that stakeholders, with very few exceptions, regard independent training and support as essential to ensure consumers with a disability are able to develop, put forward and have their recommendations adopted for service improvements during quality improvement and quality assurance activities |
