Summary |
This paper is based on two papers commissioned from the author by the New South Wales Department of Education, Australia, for a conference and book, Future Frontiers: Education for an AI World. The book was published in 2017 by the University of Melbourne Press. Mr Tucker outlines some of the developments in technology that are impacting on society and associated trends in employment; comments on the speed at which changes are occurring; and explores the implications for education. He identifies some of the basics for âcoreâ curriculum, as well as challenges that educators will face in deciding what else to teach, what learning opportunities to provide, and how. [Back cover] |
