Summary The study compared the effects of a maximal strength training method with a form of explosive jump training (plyometrics) on soccer players. Overall, the results showed that weight training and jumping groups improved strength and power better than just regular soccer training. There was no difference between the weight lifting and the jumping groups on the strength and power tests
