Summary |
William Yang embarks on two journeys. A pilgrimage to far North Queensland to investigate the murder of his uncle. Along the way, he discovers why his mother was at such pains to deny his Chinese heritage and assimilate his family into Australian culture. Second is a journey into grief, in which Yang relates stories of friends who have died of AIDS |
