Summary |
"From the world's most isolated city, Perth, in Western Australia, to the world's most populated country, China, one of Australia's most successful businesswomen, Janet Holmes รก Court, travels with 100 musicians from the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) for a two week tour in May 2006. This is the first time WASO has internationally toured for 23 years - previously there simply hadn't been the money. This tour of China is no ordinary cultural tour. Janet and the Orchestra (of which she is the chairperson) are travelling with some of Australia's heavyweight executives and government heads to further consolidate relationships with the Chinese business community. What better way to drum-up business in a foreign country than to go straight to the heart with the universal language of music? " -- edited from website |
