"Thomas Harlan, filmmaker, author and revolutionary, was born in Germany in 1929. His father was the infamous propoganda filmmaker, Veit Harlan, director of 'Jew Suess' so little Thomas met Hitler and Goebbels. Now a frail old man, Harlan lives in a clinic in Berchtesgaden and it is in in this clinic that he examines fragments of his past. The pieces of his life are like shrapnel: they enter the body violently and can cause long-term pain and aggravation." -- edited from back cover |
