Summary |
When her relationship falls apart before the wedding due to family pressure, Marie goes to the city, assumes the life of a demi-mondaine, and becomes the mistress of a man-about-town in Paris. Marie later tries to reconcile with her former fiance and her one true love, but that only brings her more grief and tragedy |
