Summary |
A non-narrative impression of the royal visit to Melbourne in the Queen's Jubilee year, 1977. On Thursday, 17th March Queen Elizabeth II met 18,000 school children at Royal Park. The film shows behind the scenes preparations by Army and Navy personnel, news crews, teachers and school children. The actual event is intercut with students from McRobertson Girls High School and Melbourne High Scohool conducting a debate about the role of the monarchi in Australia, touching on the issues of a reublic as an alternative |
