Summary |
"Bayern Munich has a long history of sporting success and this program traces some of the team's greatest moments. Six Bayern players, for example, were members of the team that won the World Cup for Germany in 1974 and all six still have close ties to the club. Former players Franz Beckenbauer, Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have management roles at Bayern and many other players such as Sepp Maier work as coaches. The club has a media manager who has set up multi-lingual websites for the huge number of fans worldwide. On match days alone they get about 5 million hits. At one point Bayern players were frequently in the headlines, earning the club the tag FC Hollywood. (From the UK, in English and German, English subtitles)" -- web |
