It seems unlikely that Les Norton would willingly part with 50,000 dollars, but he has. He has invested the money in a new film. When there is an explosion on the set which kills one of the catering crew, Les wished he hadn't invested -- particularly because the police have clear film footage of Les delivering a package to the caterer seconds before the explosion. Detectives order Les to stay in Bondi during the investigation, but Les does some investigating of his own, and ends up in Victor Harbor, South Australia
