| Summary |
On a remote mountaintop of the Himalayas sits Jhamtse Gatsal, a special school and home for 85 abandoned and neglected children. Founded by former Buddhist monk Lobsang Phuntsok, who trained under the Dalai Lama, and was himself an abandoned child, this unique community gives boys and girls the chance to escape extreme poverty and grow up in an environment where they are free to be themselves and dream about their future. "When I see they are laughing, screaming and playing, I feel like I'm living the childhood I never had." - Lobsang PhuntsokFive-year-old Tashi is the latest arrival at the refuge. Her mother has died and she's been neglected by her alcoholic father. Wild and troubled, Tashi is struggling to find her place among her 84 new brothers and sisters."She's a troublemaker...
